The beer, wine, whisky gains almond and dried fruit aromas with no obtrusive woodiness.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThese Oak Chips are Medium toasted and better added during ageing to increase a porter, stout, whisky, rum or wine's aromatic complexity.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eDosage is totally subjective. However, we suggest using anywhere between 10-60 grams for a 20-liter batch for days\/weeks or even months depending upon how much of oak flavor the beer calls for.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSoak the oak chips in boiling water for a few minutes to sterilize them before adding to the fermenter.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ePlease note that the oak chips are lighter in weight and may float on top of the beer in the fermenter when added directly.
